TROY — The city of Troy recorded five overdoses, including one fatality, in the last four days, according to reports.
Richard Tubbs Sr., 64, of Troy, was pronounced dead from an apparent opiate overdose at his residence in the 800 block of Drury Lane shortly after midnight on Feb. 12.
The Troy Police Department found evidence of drug abuse at the home. Tubbs’ girlfriend Lori Foster, 26, of Troy, was charged with tampering with evidence, drug abuse and drug abuse instruments.
On Monday, Troy police responded to an apparent overdose at the Goodwill Store on West Main Street.
On Feb. 11, an officer was dispatched to 500 S. Crawford St., in reference to a drug overdose. The male was found to be unresponsive and given Narcan by Troy medics. Drugs and paraphernalia were located in the residence and several subjects were charged with multiple offenses.
