Home School Week
The Piqua Historical Area State Memorial invites Home School groups and the general public to visit the site for hourly tours of Col. John Johnston's home, starting at 10 a.m. The General Harrison canal boat will be departing its dock at 10:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m each day. Craft demonstrations will include soap and candle making, knitting, quilting, spinning and weaving at varying times throughout the week. The newly renovated museum features information about Native Americans in Ohio and the Canal Era. A picnic area is available, as well as soft drink and juice machines, and modern restroom facilities. Admission is $2.50 for those age 18 and older, $1 for students ages 6-17 and free to those ages 5 and younger. Admission also is free to members of the Ohio Historical Society. Groups wishing to visit the site during Home School Week should call (937) 773-2522 or 1-800-752-2619 to make reservations.

Cost: $2.50 for adults, $1 students 6-17, free 5 and younger. Free to Ohio Historical Society members.
