CASSTOWN — The Milton-Union girls soccer team won its fourth straight Saturday, shutting out a tough Miami East team 2-0 on the road.

Danielle McFarland had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs (9-2-1), Kristen Dickison scored a goal and Carrigan Schmil added an assist.

Milton-Union travels to Dixie Tuesday. Miami East (4-3-4) travels to non-league rival Lehman.

Tippecanoe 1

CINCINNATI — Indian Hill scored three unanswered goals Saturday, handing Tippecanoe (9-1-1) its first loss of the season, 4-1 on the road.

Lauren Weimer had the lone goal for the Red Devils.

Tippecanoe travels to Troy Wednesday for the county rivals’ first meeting as Greater Western Ohio Conference American North Division opponents.

Other scores: Preble Shawnee 3, Troy Christian 0.

Milton-Union 2

WEST MILTON — Miami East’s Dalton Taynor scored a pair of go-ahead goals, the second of which put the Viking boys soccer team ahead for good in a 3-2 victory over Milton-Union on the road Saturday.

Jackson Davis scored the first goal for Miami East on an assist from Wesley Southerly, but Josh Daum answered for the Bulldogs to tie the score with an assist from Andrew Bessecker.

Taynor gave the lead back to the Vikings with an unassisted goal, but Milton-Union’s Caden Hilling scored on a feed from Jacob Goodman to even things up once again. But Taynor scored again, this time on an assist from Kyler Bradley, and the Vikings held on from there.

Milton-Union (4-6-2) hosts Dixie Tuesday, while Miami East travels to Bethel Thursday.

Newton Splits

At Tri

HOUSTON — The Newton volleyball team defeated host Houston 25-19, 28-26 Saturday morning to begin a tri-match, but the Indians lost 25-12, 25-14 to Riverside to finish the day.

Maddie Hildebrand had 13 kills, Catie Kaufman added nine kills and Kacie Tackett had 34 assists for the Indians (9-8), who host Bradford Tuesday.
