Kelli Rae Oda of Troy, daughter of Scott and Robin Oda of Troy, married Joseph William Spellman of Midland, Texas, son of Dr. Craig Spellman of Midland, Texas, and the late Joan Spellman, on May 17, 2014, at Grace Baptist Church, Troy, with the Rev. Darius Johnston of Burleson, Texas, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The maid of Honor was the bride’s sister, Maggie Lyon of Ridley Park, Pa. Bridesmaids included Cari Jo Spaulding of North Judson, Ind., and Katie DeVault of Troy. The man of honor was the bride’s brother, Tyler Oda of St. Louis, Mo. Olivia McElwee of Troy served as the flower girl.
Brother of the groom, Cort Spellman of Midland, Texas, served as the best man. Groomsmen included Loren Longenecker of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brock Johnston of Burleson, Texas. Ushers were Holden Roberts of Camp LeJeune, N.C. and Carl Glienke, also of Camp LeJeune, N.C.
Josh and Liz Frondutti of Delaware, Ohio, provided the music for the ceremony.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Troy High School; a 2009 graduate of Bethel College of Mishawaka, Ind.; a 2001 graduate of the Navy ODS of Newport, R.I.; and a 2014 graduate of the Ohio University Heritage College of Medicine.
She is a doctor of osteopathic medicine.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Burleson (Texas) High School; a 2007 graduate of Texas Christian University; a 2011 graduate of the Navy ODS; and a 2011 graduate of the University of Texas-Southwestern School of Medicine.
He is a doctor of medicine.
A reception was held at the Piqua Country Club, Piqua.
The couple honeymooned in Estes Park, Colo.
The newlyweds are living in San Diego, Calif., where each is completing their medical residencies.
