Father’s Day celebrations planned

MIAMI COUNTY — Bethel and Casstown United Methodist Churches are inviting all to attend worship services on Father’s Day, Sunday and enjoy the talents of the “Light Readers.” They will be leading worship with their inspirational skits and singing.

Services are at Bethel UMC, 2505 E. Loy Road, Piqua, at 9 a.m., and Casstown UMC, 102 Center St., Casstown, at 10:45 a.m.

Catching lies discussed at Lifetree Cafe Monday

TROY — Practical ways to tell if someone is telling the truth will be explored at 7 p.m. Monday at Lifetree Café, 130 S. Walnut St., Troy.

The program titled, How to Spot A Liar: Secrets from a Former FBI Agent, features a filmed interview with FBI counterintelligence officer John Schafer.

Lifetree Café is located inside St John’s United Church of Christ.Use the Canal Street door for entrance to the café. Use the Walnut Street ramp for the handicapped entrance.

West Milton UCC to host Berachah Valley June 28

WEST MILTON — The West Milton United Church of Christ is pleased to welcome all to join them as they host Berachah Valley for a special Sunday worship at 10:40 a.m. June 28.

Service will be followed by carry-in lunch where you can meet and greet with the band and CDs will be available.

TFBC to have Alley Family June 28

TROY — The Alley Family will be singing during the 11 a.m. service June 28 at Troy Freewill Baptist Church, 2482 S. County Road 25A, Troy.

All are welcome to attend.

VBS set June 28-July 2

TROY — St John’s United Church of Christ will be celebrating vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 p.m. June 28-July 2 at the church, 130 S. Walnut St., Troy.

Each night will include games, doing experiments in the Imagination Station, exploring the Bible in Bible Exploration and having great snacks and music.

Children from three old through 6th grade are welcome. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on June 28 or parents may preregister by calling the church office at (937) 335-2028 between 9:00 am to noon. Use the Canal Street door for entrance to Vacation Bible School.

VBS scheduled July 12-14

FLETCHER — The Fletcher United Methodist Church will presents vacation Bible school 2015 – “Message Received” 6-8:30 p.m. July 12-14 at the church, .

The program is open to children ages five through fifth grade and includes fun, games, snacks and singing.

FUMC to host drama camp

TROY — Troy First United Methodist Church will be holding Drama Camp 10 a.m. to noon July 20-24 at the church, 110 W. Franklin St., Troy.

Everyone from kindergarten through 6th grade is invited to attend the camp. The cost is free.

Support for parents, caregivers

TROY — Special seminar and support groups are under way at St. Patrick Parish. The church offers GriefShare for those who have lost loved ones through death. Two sessions are offered on Wednesdays from 1-2:30 p.m. or 7-8:30 p.m. in the Parish Center, 444 E. Water St., Troy.

Cancer Companions is offered on the second and fourth Thursdays. These sessions are for patients, family and care givers. These support groups can be beneficial for those going through a tough time to help them feel they are not alone or their thoughts and feelings are not abnormal. Share with those dealing with the same situations and help each other through this time while learning ways to do it from the experts.
