TROY — The Miami Valley Veterans Museum will sponsor the annual Miami County Fourth of July parade.
The community is invited to join museum members and organizations of the Miami Valley in celebrating America’s birthday by being a part of the Independence Day Parade to be held in Troy on July 4. Those interested are invited to build a float, decorate a bicycle and ride in the parade, drive an antique vehicle or gather a club or group and walk down the streets of Troy.
Those viewing the parade are invited to wear red, white and blue, wave your flag and line the streets along the parade route.
Applications for parade participation, donations and nominations for grand marshal are available at www.celebratejuly4th.org and are fill able as well as savable. The deadline for grand marshal nominations is today, while parade entries are due June 26.

This year the parade will again use its original route. Lineup will begin at 8 July 4 in the Hobart Arena parking lot. This is the lot to the south of the arena, and this will be the only entrance available for use. The parade will begin promptly at 9 a.m. making its way past the high school and turning right onto North Market Street. The parade will make the three- quarter turn around the Public Square and turn right down West Main Street, disbursing at Monroe Street.
