Students make dean’s lists
• LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University has named the following residents to the dean’s list for spring 2014:
Piqua — Nathan Runge, a freshman majoring in biology, and previously attended Piqua High School; Taylor Peltier, a senior majoring in psychology, and previously attended Troy High School.
• BEREA —Cesira Miconi of Tipp City, a graduate of Tippecanoe High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester 2014 at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean’s List.
Her major in undeclared.
Lachiewicz graduates pharmacy school
AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn University’s James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy held its spring 2014 commencement ceremony on May 6 at Auburn Arena.
The class of 152 included 150 students receiving the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree, three of which were given in absentia and an additional three with an anticipated degree completion date in the summer of 2014. Two students were awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
The class included representatives from two foreign countries (India and Nigeria) and 15 states, including Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.
Among the graduates was Troy native Emily Ann Lachiewicz. She graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy.
Local students graduate from Wilmington College
WILMINGTON, Ohio – Wilmington College conferred 314 graduating seniors with Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS) and Masters in Education (MED) degrees at its 138th annual commencement ceremony. Graduates, some receiving special honor recognition, were from WC’s main campus, Cincinnati Branch in Blue Ash and the degree completion program at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The following graduates included: Caitlyn C. Kennedy of Tipp City, BA, psychology; Charles T. Hirtzinger of Troy, BA, history; and Allison E. Black of West Milton BS (magna cum laude), agriculture.
