TROY — Troy Planning Commission approved Summerfield Land Company’s request to begin Phase 4 before Phase 3 for Stonebridge Meadows final development plan on Wednesday.
Summerfield Land Company’s owner Judy Tomb was present at the meeting and said the proposed change was only for builders to meet the demands of the housing development located off of State Route 721 and McKaig near Concord Elementary School.
Only the phases would be changed, no other physical attributes of the approved development would be altered. City of Troy Planning and Zoning Manager Tim Davis and zoning staff recommended the proposal.
Planning Commission members Dee Mahan, Jim McGarry, Tom Force and new commission member Stephanie Johnson approved the resolution to allow the phases to be flip-flopped.
Planning Commission also approved new lighting and exterior work for the 114 and 116 South Market Stret building. The applicant and owner, Wade Westfall, requested approval for three black goose-neck lights above each store front, an area for signage and crown molding.
Westfall, owner of Four Sons Development, said he waited for approval of the new windows and doors at the last planning commission meeting before requesting the additional exterior improvements.
The exterior work was approved by Mahan, Force, McGarry and Johnson.
