Two more subjects jailed for Union Twp. invasion

MIAMI COUNTY — Two more suspects are in custody for their involvement in a Union Township home invasion late last month.

According to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, James Benton turned himself in through his attorney and is currently incarcerated in the Miami County jail.

Cory L. Dixon was apprehended last week by the U.S. Marshals Service and is also incarcerated in the Miami County jail.

Benton and Dixon are facing burglary charges.

The only suspect who has not been apprehended to date is Eric A. Santos, age 21, of Dayton. If anyone has any information on Santos’ whereabouts please call your local law enforcement agency.

Another suspect, Keason A. Twitty, was hospitalized. Twitty was shot and wounded during a confrontation with the owner of the home, who told deputies that a group of men kicked in the door of his house and shot at him.

The man told deputies he got his own gun and fired back, hitting one of the men in the leg.
