Jan. 10

WARRANT: Deputies were dispatched to 2000 block of State Route 721, Pleasant Hill, in reference, to a theft. The reporting party stated she noticed her boyfriend, Brian Yohey’s Vicodin was missing from their dresser drawer. She stated there were 20 Vicodin pills in the prescription bottle. She stated they looked everywhere for the pills. She said stated she let her high school friend, Brittany Rollins and her husband Sean Rollins stay with her, because they were homeless. Both subjects denied taking the medication. Sean’s information was checked through Dispatch. Dispatch informed the officers that Sean had an active warrant out of Champaign County with a good pickup. The warrant was confirmed and Sean was arrested for a non support. Deputy Moore transported Sean to the Incarceration Facility.

Jan. 11

BURGLARY: A resident in the 100 block of W. Monument Street, Pleasant Hill, reported she noticed money had been stolen from her purse. The victim is a 90-year-old female who lives alone and walks with a walker. She explained at least $100 was stolen from her purse inside her house on two separate occasions. The victim suspected her 18-year-old neighbor had stolen the money. The suspect has a history of theft, some reported and some not. He has stolen items from the victim in the past.

Deputy Karn was working at Newton School. Following an interview, James Oburn, 18, was taken into custody after he confessed to stealing the money while the victim was home. He was transported to the Miami County Jail were he was incarcerated on two counts of burglary.

Jan. 13

OVI: On this date, a deputy was patrolling the business at 9462 S. Palmer Road, Tipp City, when the listed vehicle pulled in. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver, Alex Pizzo, was taken into custody for OVI and no operator’s license. Alex admitted to using heroin earlier in the morning.

SUSPICIOUS: On this date, a deputy responded to the area of Hufford Road, Elizabeth Township, in reference to two males selling meat door-to-door.

Jan. 15

OVI: A deputy was dispatched to the 3800 block of State Route 185, Piqua, on a report of a driver slumped over the wheel in the roadway. After investigation the driver Jerry Sanders was arrested for OVI, DUS-OVI, and seatbelt.
