Troy Police Department reports

Information provided by the Troy Police Department:

May 4

BIKES FOUND: An officer was dispatched to the woods adjacent to Boyer Park to the East for found property. The officer met with a worker who was working on the tower built in the woods. He found two bicycles listed in this report. The officer took the bikes to Troy PD and checked them for stolen. The bikes were tagged and placed in the sally port, locked with the property chains.

WARRANT: A male subject was observed walking on the sidewalk and in the street on Westhaven Dr. between Waterford Dr. and the cul de sac. The subject was observed near the mailbox of 42 Westhaven Dr. and later sitting on the curb near Waterford Dr. several houses down the street. Contact with the subject was made. He claimed to be a maintenance worker for the residences in the area. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and turned over to the wanting agency, Sidney PD.

BB SHOT: A juvenile was reportedly shot with a BB gun. A second juvenile was located with the BB gun. He was taken home and charged for the offense.

May 5

MARIJUANA: While on patrol, an officer located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Royal Inn. Both subjects in the vehicle were identified. Due to the odor of burnt marijuana the vehicle was search, Heather Plunkett was issued a summons for possession of drugs.

VANDALISM: An officer was dispatched to the East entrance of 1100 Wayne St in reference to a criminal damaging. Reporting person advised that kids pulled a video surveillance camera out of the ceiling and left some paint bottles laying around. Contact made with property owner Bob Cole. Later discovered vandalism to the Miami County Education Center in suite 1400. Paint thrown around and computers damaged. Will follow up with Mr. Cole tomorrow to see about getting video surveillance.

OVI: A traffic stop was initiated for a moving violation. Driver was subsequently found to be impaired and arrested for OVI.
