TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Area United Way recently held its annual public meeting and the board of directors installed the 2016 Executive Committee and new board members.
Zack Jacobs served as the 2015 president.
“We would like to thank Zack for his past service and leadership that he provided last year,” said Tipp City Area United Way Executive Director Deb Carr. “For without his support and hard work, we would not have been able to accomplish what we did so efficiently.”
New officers are, Stan Evans, president; Pam Catalano, first vice president; Phil Cox, second vice president; and Jesse Chamberlain, treasurer.
“All officers and directors are volunteers and dedicate many hours of their expertise to our United Way and community,” Carr said. “We are very privileged to have this exemplary group of individuals working toward the betterment of others.”
Tipp City Area United Way also installed three new board members, Simon Patry, Sue Rambeau and Chris Slattery.
“They each possess their own skill sets and leadership skills that we are looking very forward to working with for the common good of our community,” Carr said. “We cannot do the work we do without the time and talent that these professionals give freely to our United Way and community.”
The United Tipp City Area works with many partner agencies to create long-lasting change, including Needy Baskets, Family Abuse Shelter and Emergency Shelter and Homelessness, New Path, Dream Builders Group, Hospice of Miami County, Miami County Dental Clinic and Miami County Recovery Council, to name a few, Carr said.
“Our board members work diligently because they know there are basic needs we all have for a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, income that can support a family through retirement, and good health,” Carr said.
