Bank offer’s children’s program
TROY — Local MainSource Bank branches will participate in the American Bankers Association (ABA) National “Teach Children to Save” initiative. This year, the ABA celebrated the initiative’s 20th anniversary. A free national program, sponsored by the ABA Foundation, organizes banker volunteers throughout the year to help young people develop a savings habit early in life.
MainSource Bank is registered for more than 17 presentations at local schools near their branches. This will impact more than 500 students in areas, including Troy and Dayton.
All schools are encouraged to contact their local MainSource Bank branch if they are interested in participating.

Medicare program set
PIQUA — Victoria Jurovic, an Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) Community Liaison, will present a Medicare Update Program at the YWCA Piqua on Wednesday, May 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public. YWCA membership is not required.
Jurovic will answer questions individuals have about traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage (HMOs, PPOs and PFFSs) along with Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D) before the beginning of the insurance enrollment time which is Oct. 15-Dec. 7. The presentation will be followed by questions and answers and, if time permits, a one-on-one time for questions will take place.
“This is an excellent opportunity for those about to turn 65 or those already enrolled in Medicare to get questions answered,” said Beth Royer-DeLong, YWCA program director. “We are pleased that Victoria, an OSHIIP liaison from the Ohio Department of Insurance will be with us for this very informative program,” she added.
Those interested in attending are asked to call the YWCA (773-6626) to register. For more information, stop at the YWCA Piqua at 418 N. Wayne St. The YWCA is handicapped-accessible.
