Ross joins ICES

TROY — International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES) has welcomed Allison Ross as a new local coordinator.

Ross is an active person within the community of Troy, working with her church, local schools and other community organizations, and will be looking for successful host family candidates to host high school-age students. Students have their own insurance and spending money.

What the host family supplies is room, board and an invitation to open their home to share the American culture. Families will gain a forever friend and family member and will learn about cultures from around the world.

She is committed to helping the international students have the best possible high school experience and to learn about the U.S. in a positive light. As the global community we live in becomes increasingly interdependent and subject to change, today’s young people will face numerous challenges on the journey to becoming tomorrow’s leaders. We believe the foreign student exchange experience helps young people of all nationalities embrace those challenges and discover new opportunities that will help them dream and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

ICES is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a peaceful world by increasing international awareness and understanding through cultural sharing experiences. If you would like more information about this topic, contact Rose McDonough at (304) 562-0875 or email at [email protected]
