Wittenberg announces spring dean’s List

SPRINGFIELD — Committed to academic excellence, Wittenberg University regularly recognizes students who maintain high educational standards. The following students maintained a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the 2015 spring semester and earned a place on the dean’s list:

Troy — Korinne Digel and Evelyn Ritzi.

Tipp City — Rhyanna Hallauer and Carlie Weir.

Piqua — Yong Yi Zhong.

Stocker graduates

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg University celebrated the accomplished class of 2015 during the 170th year commencement exercises May 16. University President Laurie Joyner conferred degrees on more than 425 students, including:

Kara Stocker of Tipp City, who graduated with a bachelor of arts in education.

Lee receives bachelor’s degree

CIRCLEVILLE — Kayla Lee of Troy graduated from Ohio Christian University with a bachelor of arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Tipp resident receives degree

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg University celebrated the class of 2015 during the 170th year commencement exercises May 16.

University president Laurie Joyner conferred degrees on more than 425 students, including a local student, Kara Stocker of Tipp City, who graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Education.

Miami University holds commencement

OXFORD — Miami University awarded 4,101 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 16, in Yager Stadium.

Local students receiving degrees include:

Troy — Natalie Dalton and Leigh Fish.

Tipp City — Rachel Dillahunt of Tipp City.

President’s list announced at Miami

OXFORD — Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2014-15 have been named to the president’s list recognizing academic excellence.

Tipp City — Mackenzie Mikel and Lydia Schneider.

Piqua — Grace Jackson.

Covington — Michael Wilson.
