PEEP offered at BNC

TROY — Session begins Jan. 3 through Feb. 10 for a new session of Brukner Nature Center’s Pre-school Environmental Education Program (PEEP).

While some might want to stay inside, most children still want to get outside and explore. The wildlife is still very active, although a few like the ground hog are hibernating. The birds are singing looking for food and with the leaves off the trees you can find squirrel and bird nest up in the trees.

Registration for Brukner Nature Center’s PEEP will open on Sunday, Nov. 13.

This program offers a unique opportunity for children, ages 3-5, to learn through nature hikes, crafts and story time. Classes run for six weeks and are offered one day a week. Classes take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. An additional afternoon class is offered on Friday from 12:30-2:30 p.m. The fee is $45 for BNC members and $60 for non-members.

All fees are due upon registration (cash or check only). Class size is limited to 12 children.
