TIPP CITY — Tipp City Tree Board is planning a whole week of events this week in celebration of Arbor Day on April 25.

Last week, Mayor Pat Hale made an Arbor Day presentation at the April 14 council meeting.

This week, in the government center lobby there will be videos running through the day and pamphlets available on display table. Coloring sheets for children will be available.

There will be a display of Tree City USA plaques and flag displayed, along with the current Tree City USA award. The board is soliciting favorite tree stories as well.

On Arbor Day itself, Tree Board represenatives Joanna Pittenger and Marilyn Fennell will present and distribute 210 tree seedlings to Nevin Coppock Elementary first graders. Seedlings will be White Pine and Black Hill Spruce.

There will also be a public tree planting ceremony at 10 a.m. Rosewood Creek Park. The Tree Board will officiate the planting of three Black Hill Spruce adn two Princeton Elms. The mayor will read a proclamation as well.
