Troy man dies in crash

BETHEL TOWNSHIP, CLARK COUNTY — The Springfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal crash, which killed a Troy man.

The crash occurred on State Route 235 at the intersection of Dillie Road.

At approximately 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Stephen F. Peters 52, of Troy, was traveling northbound on State Route 235. Mr. Peters struck a southbound 1994 Ford F-150 driven by Wayne M. Crowell 55, of Medway, in the right side as Crowell attempted to make a left turn eastbound onto Dillie Road.

Mr. Peters was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Crowell was treated at the scene and released.

The crash closed State Route 235 for approximately three hours.

The Springfield Post was assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff’s office and Bethel Township Fire and EMS.
