MONROE TOWNSHIP — Monroe Township Trustees authorized dues payment for 2016 membership in the Ohio Township Association (OTA) at the board’s meeting on Dec. 21. The trustees and fiscal officer will be attending the 2016 OTA Winter Conference Jan. 27-29 in Columbus.
Another resolution passed at the township’s second December meeting included authorizing the fiscal officer to pay bills that totaled $18,215.76.
The board also reviewed a year-end report on activity at Maple Hill Cemetery that showed in 2015 there were 48 burials and 45 graves sold.
In communications, it was noted that beginning Jan. 11 and through Jan. 15, the southbound right curb lane on County Road 25-A in front of the Meijer Distribution Center will be closed. The southbound left lane will not be disrupted. This measure is being taken during the installation of a drive approach into the Meijer Distribution Center.
The township board members will be conducting their year-end meeting Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 9 a.m. The trustees’ first meeting of the New Year will be 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, which begins with their re-organizational session.
