Accident on Water Street sends 2 to UVMC


Truck lands on its passenger side; OVI may be a factor

TROY — Troy Police Department are investigating whether drugs or alcohol caused a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Water and Mulberry streets on Monday.

The accident occurred at 5:42 p.m.

The van was traveling west and a pick-up truck was traveling east on Water Street when the truck went left of center and struck the van. The pick-up landed on its passenger side.

The unidentified drivers, who were the lone occupants of their vehicles, were transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.

According to Troy Police Department’s Patrolman Matt Mosier, officials are waiting on results of toxicology reports for the driver of the pick-up truck. Other citations are pending.
