WEST MILTON — On Friday morning, a downtown West Milton restaurant was robbed.

According to police, a white male entered the Pearson House Restaurant around 9:30 a.m. and handed a cashier a note demanding money. He indicated that he had a gun.

“The note stated to the effect, ‘I have a gun, give me all the money quickly and quietly,’” Officer Ross Grove of the West Milton Police Department said.

He did not display a weapon.

The cashier complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled on foot across South Miami Street toward the post office.

The store closed after the incident. The cashier was uninjured but shaken up, Grove said.

The suspect was described as a white male with “tanned” skin and a “skinny build.” He is approximately 5-feet-7-inches tall and wore gold rimmed glasses. He was wearing a grey/blue zip up sweatshirt with the hood pulled up around his face, blue jeans, and dark knit gloves, Grove said.

The West Milton Police Department is currently investigating this robbery.
