MIAMI COUNTY — Local communities have planned free holiday meals for senior citizens.
Tipp City Exempted Village Schools, the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce, and the city of Tipp City are jointly hosting the annual Senior Citizens Holiday Breakfast. The event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at LT Ball Intermediate School from 9-10:30 a.m.
Superintendent Dr. Gretta Kumpf says she looks forward to welcoming the community’s senior citizens as the district’s guests.
“This gives us a chance to thank them for their contributions to our community and schools,” Kumpf said.
The breakfast will feature musical, dance, and vocal performances by students in the district.
The breakfast is open to all Monroe Township and Tipp City senior citizens. Interested residents should make a reservation with the district at 667-8444 by Dec. 10t to allow for adequate planning.
• PLEASANT HILL — Newton has announced the 24th annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
The menu will consist of turkey with all the trimmings. Entertainment will be provided. A very brief message from the superintendent will be followed by food, fellowship, and fun.
If you are a resident of Newton School District, age 60 and up, please allow us to honor you. Make reservations by calling the school at 676-2002 on or before Thursday, Dec. 3.
• West Milton — All senior citizens in Union Township are invited to be the guests at the “Very Merry Christmas Party” from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 . The Senior Ministry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1209 S. Miami St., West Milton, will host the event.
The Milton-Union Center Stage Show Choir will be the featured entertainment. Food, games, carol singing and fellowship will complete the afternoon.
