MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County Board of Elections met on Wednesday morning to approve eight more provisional ballots and write-ins included on those ballots.
“We have eight ballots from the three counties that were missing last week,” Bev Kendall, director of the Miami County Board of Elections, said. “And they all … were registered in the other counties but did not vote in the other counties.”
The board then approved those ballots, as the voters are living in Miami County and were registered to vote.
“There were write-in candidates on those provisionals that need to be approved,” Eric Morgan, deputy director of the Miami County Board of Elections, said.
The board approved one write-in vote for Robert Lee Daugherty for Bradford City Council, one for Todd Ashley Wright for Bethel Board of Education, five for Kerry A. Murphy for Covington Board of Education, two for James Ashby Rench for Covington Board of Education, and one for Bill Vogt for city of Piqua Commissioner.
The board also rejected five write-in votes, including one for Mickey Mouse.
