Father and daughter win Best of Show awards

TROY — The Art Hall at the Miami County Fair was a family affair for one father and daughter. Kyle Brumbaugh of Tipp City and his daughter Olivia, 5, each won a Best of Show award that the Miami County Fair this week.

“I started when I was 11,” Brumbaugh said. Brumbaugh said that he has been competing and participating in the Miami County Fair off and on since 1991.

“My mom got me started on it, and so now it’s a three generation thing,” Brumbaugh said.

Kyle Brumbaugh earned a Best of Show award in the Art Hall for his quick breads in the Baking with Honey category.

“She started last year,” Brumbaugh said about his daughter Olivia. She won a Best of Show award for her quick breads in the 8 and Under category.
