Troy Police reports

Information provided by the Troy Police Department:

July 6

THEFT: An officer was dispatched to 401 1/2 Lake St. on a theft complaint. Complainant advised that her cell phone had been stolen from 717 1/2 S. Clay Street. An officer later responded to 717 1/2 S. Clay St. to check on a possible warrant. Wanted individual was arrested on warrants and incarcerated.

THEFT: An officer came in contact with Carmen Conley reference a theft report at the Troy Meijer. As a result Morgan Ashley and Sydney Eberhardt were charged with theft.

WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to 18 N. Cedar St. in reference to a disturbance. Suspect was arrested on a warrant.

THEFT: An officer responded to 11oo block of Pondview for a report of a theft. The reporting party said he and his wife have had several items of jewelry go missing out of their jewelry box sometime in the last two weeks. He stated that he believes his daughter who lives with them, is responsible. The officer checked the daughter through LEADS online and found that she pawned a violin on July 5. The officer asked Glen if he was missing a violin and he stated he was.

LITTERING: An officer was traveling west on W. Main Street and observed a blue Honda Civic traveling west The driver of the vehicle threw a cigarette butt out the driver side window on W. Main St. near N. Elm Street. The officer also observed the tail lights on the vehicle were not working.

The officer identified the driver of the vehicle as Nicholas T. Gates. Nicholas admitted to throwing the cigarette butt out the window. The officer issued Nicholas a citation for littering out of a motor vehicle.
