WEST MILTON — The community of West Milton will once again commemorate Independence Day with a four day celebration.
The West Milton Independence Celebration will be held Friday, July 1, through Monday, July 4, ending with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. Monday.
The four day carnival will feature rides, games, food, and other entertainment. The festival hours of operation will be 6-10 p.m. Friday, 3-10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Monday.
The annual West Milton Independence Day Hometown Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Monday.
The Lions Club will host Bingo in the Lion Shelters from 6-10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday (2nd-3rd), and from 3-10 p. m., following chicken sales, Monday, 4 July.
The traditional Lions Club BBQ chicken dinner will be held at the Lions Shelter in the park on Monday, starting at 11 a.m. until sold out.
Pre-sale ride tickets are available at Curry’s Video, Owl Drugs and Wertz Variety. The price of pre-sale tickets is $6 for five (one ticket per ride) with their sale ending July 1 at 5 p.m. Cost for tickets at the park will be $2.50 each or 10 for $22. Funtime will also provide a Friday armband for $18.00, a Saturday armband for $20, and a Sunday armband for $20.
Food and various vendors will be on Washington Street and in the Community Parking Lot on July 4. If interested in having booth space contact Scott Fogle at (513) 314-6981.
The fireworks display is presented by Garden State Fireworks. The Santore Bros. Funtime Carnival, out of Cincinnati, will provide the amusement rides, games, and food along with local organizations.
