Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:
PILLS GONE: On the listed date, a deputy was contacted by an in home healthcare provider regarding missing Narco (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) pills from the 3000 block of Dogwood Drive, Monroe Township. No definitive information could be given to determine if the patient had taken the pills or if an in home nurse had stole the pills. The healthcare provider needed to report the situation as required by their policy and procedures.
MORE PILLS GONE: A resident in the 7000 block of Windham Drive, Tipp City, called in to report a theft of his prescription medication. He stated he left a bottle with 11 Adderall pills in a friends car overnight. He stated the friend was inside with him the whole night and he did not take them. He stated he is unsure whether the car was left unlocked and there were no other people at the house with them. When asked for more information on the friend and vehicle, he stated he did not know the friends last name because he only met him a month ago and he did not have information on the vehicle either.
IDENTITY FRAUD: A deputy was dispatched on a complaint of identity theft in the 20000 block of Canterbury Court in Concord Township. The incident involved two credit card accounts being fraudulently opened.
FRAUD: A Washington Township resident called in to report a possible ID theft. The reporting party said
Citibank called her to report someone attempted to purchase Alaskan air line tickets but were denied. She was informed by Citibank to obtain a police report.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: A deputy was dispatched to the W. Monument Street, Pleasant Hill, on an assist citizen. The deputy made contact with the reporting party who stated that on Wednesday May 4, 2016 she was approached by a male on a motorcycle in front of her residence. She stated that early that morning she went out to start her car up. She went inside and approximately 10 minutes later she came back outside to get in her vehicle. She stated an unknown male on a motorcycle began yelling at her for leaving her vehicle running unattended. She advised at that time she just let it go and didn’t think anything of it. The reporting party advised that early this morning on May 6 she was leaving her residence to take her daughter to preschool. She stated the same male on a motorcycle followed her all the way from her residence to Early Beginnings in Troy. She stated the male pulled into the parking lot and just sat there. She advised that when she left the preschool the male was gone. The reporting party did not know who the male was nor did she have any description. She stated that the male was wearing a reflective vest on both occasions. She just asked that the incident be documented.
COCAINE RECOVERED: A deputy assisted parole officers with a search of a residence in the 8000 block of Piqua-Lockington Road. During the course of the search, nine individually packaged plastic baggies, each containing a white powdery substance, were located in a female’s purse. The female, Taidge Ritter, 21, was taken into custody for possession of cocaine and trafficking.
WARRANT: Auglaize County advised that Ashlee Felver was at the listed address in the 3000 block of State Route 718, Troy, and had an active warrant. Deputies located Ashlee and placed her in custody. She was incarcerated at the Miami County Jail and Auglaize County was notified.
ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN: Deputies responded to the 6600 block of State Route 721, West Milton, on a burglary in progress. The reporting party advised a subject was kicking in her back door. She then heard a male subject state “hello”. She called 911 and the subject fled the residence. Officers observed signs of forced entry on the door frame. There were vehicle car tracks in the grass where the vehicle left quickly.
TANK TAMPERING: A deputy responded on a criminal damage report to 5900 Washington Road in Washington Township. Upon my arrival, the deputy spoke with the reporting party. He stated at some time over the previous night an unknown individual opened the valves to a 1,000 gallon tank. The tank contained about 950 gallons of a concentrated amount of 28 percent nitrogen fertilizer. All of the fertilizer appeared to have been dumped on the ground. There are no suspects and none of the party’s other equipment appeared to have been tampered with.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: A deputy pulled into the Big Woods Preserve on Casstown Sidney Road. When the deputy pulled up to a parking spot in the front lot, he observed two male subjects walk out of the Porta-John, together. The deputy stopped them as they walked to their car. They were identified. The deputy asked what two grown men were doing together in a Porta-John, in a park. They claimed to be going to the bathroom together. One of the subjects asked if they were in trouble and the officer advised them they were not, however, they were both trespassed from all county parks.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: The reporting party put a string type fence around her deceased mother’s farm property in the 1300 block of Dayton-Brandt Road, Elizabeth Township. The following day she noticed parts of the fence were damaged. The reporting party stated she is involved in a civil dispute with other family members over the property and wanted a report to document the damage.
GUN FOUND: The reporting party was jogging in the area of S. Dayton Brandt Road in Bethel Township and found a Ruger handgun laying on the roadside. The gun was run through LEADS with no hits and there were no hits for a local search. The gun was booked in evidence for safekeeping.
K-9 ASSIST: A deputy responded to Taylorsville and Mount Hood in Huber Heights for an assist agency request. They requested a walk by K9 Bear around a vehicle they had on a traffic stop. K9 Bear alerted to the vehicle and a search was conducted. Drug paraphernalia was found in the car.
