Melissa Anne Gillen, originally from Troy, wed Zachary Donald Billy, originally from Canfield, during a 2 p.m. ceremony on July 11, 2015, at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Troy.
Father James Duell, pastor Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Deacon Michael Berstene, uncle of the bride; and Deacon Donald Billy, grandfather of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
She is the daughter of Stephen and Karen Gillen of Troy, and he is the son of Dr. Mark and Michelle Billy of Canfield.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a designer Justin Alexander, full-length strapless A-line gown in ivory, with beaded lace overlay and scalloped lace edging at the neckline and hem. The back of the skirt has a beautiful sweep train to complete the design.
She carried a posy bouquet of white calla lilies, white hydrangea, and white and blush pink roses.
Matron of honor was Amy Sieber, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids included Kimbery Shifley, friend of the bride; Abby DeVault, friend of the bride; Tanysha Pierce, friend of the bride; Karissa Conner, friend of the bride; Alexa Billy, sister of the groom; and Elena Billy, sister of the groom.
The ring bearer was Gabriel Billy, cousin of the groom, and the flower girl was Lydia Altiere, cousin of the groom.
The best Man was Brian Rybak, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen included Scott Sieber, brother-in-law of the bride; Mathias Bustamante, cousin of the groom; Eric Hoying, friend of the groom; and Andres Antequera, friend of the groom.
A reception was held at Fort Piqua Plaza, Piqua.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Troy High Schooll 2011 graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor of science degree in speech pathology and audiology; and a 2013 graduate of Bowling Green State University, master of speech language pathology.
She is speech/language pathologist in the Pickerington Local School District.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Canfield High School; and an 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in business management.
He is employed at Bank of America in Westerville.
The couple reside in Columbus.
