Mayor Michael Beamish has announced that the capital budget bill signed by Ohio Governor Kasich includes $150,000 for improvements associated with Treasure Island Park, which is located along the Troy river corridor area.
These grant dollars will be used towards the renovation of the Treasure Island Marina building and associated parking areas.
“Troy is extremely appreciative of the efforts of both State Representative Richard Adams and State Senator William Beagle for their efforts in supporting the capital budget bill and encouraging the members of the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate to pass the bill with the Troy project included,” Beamish said when making the annuoncement. “Both Representative Adams and Senator Beagle recognize the importance of riverfront development as a community enhancement and an economic development tool. Of course, I am also grateful to Governor Kasich for signing the bill into law.”
