MONROE TOWNSHIP — The Monroe Township Trustees agreed at their Jan. 21 meeting to an annual preventative maintenance inspection for the township’s three outdoor warning sirens.

Cost for this annual inspection is $450 per site and covers a complete inspection and testing of each remote siren site.

Residents are reminded of the dedication and open house at the new addition to the Tipp City Fire and EMS building on West Main Street that will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8.

In reports, it was noted the township road staff have been busy maintaining and clearing township roads during a very busy January wintry season, and keeping up to date with truck maintenance for vehicles used during these active snow events.

Bills paid at the meeting equaled $25,646.88.

The next township board meeting will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 3.
